I have found several websites which confirm this "guest list" for Pope Francis' upcoming visit to the White House this week...The UK Daily Mail reports:
Pope Francis's first visit to the White House next week is shaping up to be a doozy, as President Obama has arranged for several opponents of traditional Catholic teaching to be among those greeting the pontiff.Francis is known for his tolerance, having urged Catholics against condemning those with non-traditional lifestyles such as homosexuals and pro-choice advocates.But this may test even Francis's famous papal patience.

No, what we have here is special. We haven’t seen such a raw, naked attempt by a secular head of state to manipulate a pope in centuries.
Does anyone have any references beyond secular media and non-Catholic (Protestants, Evangelicals, etc.) who are as frustrated and/or upset with President Obama's disrespecting this religious world leader? Aren't they a little worried about who's next?
ReplyDeleteScott, we're beyond the political solution. It's too corrupted and bought. The youth have no future so it's come down to God and Guns (the State Militias called for by the Second Amendment). If the youth don't understand that, then I can only tell then "Enjoy your enslavement to debt b/c it will only get worse if you don't take action now. We the People ARE the Militia. If you are too cowardly to take action, then you deserve the police state you live in. Sow what your reap."
DeleteI don't think guns are the answer in this debate. While I agree things have gone from bad to worse, going to guns, especially at this point, will only bring bloodshed and won't put an end to what is happening - people will die, and the government would roll on. I am cautiously optimistic for 2016, and hope it's not as disappointing as 2008, 2012 and 2014.
DeleteInterestingly, it appears that Pope Francis snubbed President Obama's attempt at "in your face" by going to dinner with the homeless instead of the state dinner. In the secular media you're hearing a bunch of crickets over that one.
