Pray The Holy Rosary

Below are several videos which will help lead you through praying the Holy Rosary.  You might ask, "Why do you need a video to help you pray?"  The answer is quite simple - the Holy Rosary, is a meditation primarily on the life of Jesus Christ and through such videos you can find direction and meaning along with less distractions as these give you a method of focusing your meditation(s) on the various mysteries of the Holy Rosary.

How to Pray the Holy Rosary

1	While holding the crucifix make the Sign of the Cross. and then recite the Apostles Creed.
2	Recite the Our Father on the first large bead.
3	Recite a Hail Mary for an increase of faith, hope and charity on each of the three small beads.
4	Recite the Glory Be to the Father on the next large bead.
5	Recite the Fatima Prayer "O my Jesus" on the large bead.
6	Recall the first Rosary Mystery and recite the Our Father on the large bead.
7	On each of the adjacent ten small beads (also refered to as a decade) recite a Hail Mary while reflecting on the mystery.
8	On the next large bead, recite the Glory Be to the Father, the Fatima prayer.
9	Each succeeding decade is prayed in a similar manner by recalling the appropriate mystery, reciting the Our Father, ten Hail Marys while reflecting on the mystery, the Glory Be to the Father, and the Fatima prayer.
10	When the fifth mystery is completed, the Rosary is Customarily concluded with the Hail Holy Queen, [the St. Michael the Archangel, petition a special Saint to pray for you] then the Sign of the Cross.   [These are included by the more traditionally minded.]

• Sunday - Glorious Mysteries of the Rosary
• Monday - Joyful Mysteries of the Rosary
• Tuesday - Sorrowful Mysteries of the Rosary
• Wednesday - Glorious Mysteries of the Rosary
• Thursday - Luminous Mysteries of the Rosary
• Friday - Sorrowful Mysteries of the Rosary
• Saturday - Joyful Mysteries of the Rosary

Traditional Catholics tend to adhere to the previous tradition (does not include the Luminous Mysteries, these were added in October of 2002 by Pope John Paul IInull) and that schedule is:

THE PRAYERS OF THE ROSARY

The Sign of the Cross
All:  IN THE NAME of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Amen. (When you say “of the Father, ” touch your forehead; when you say “of the Son,” touch your breastbone; when you say “of the Holy Ghost,” touch your left shoulder and then your right shoulder.
The Apostles' Creed
Leader (or All):  I BELIEVE IN GOD, the Father almighty, Creator of Heaven and earth. And in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, Who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate; was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended into hell. The third day He rose again from the dead. He ascended into Heaven, and sits at the right hand of God, the Father almighty, from thence He shall come to judge the living and the dead. 
All: I believe in the Holy Ghost, the holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.
The Our Father
Leader:  OUR FATHER, Who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy Name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.
All:  Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.
The Hail Mary
Leader: HAIL MARY, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
All:  Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
The Glory Be
Leader:  GLORY BE to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost. 
All: As it was in the beginning is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
O My Jesus (Requested by Our Lady at Fatima in 1917; pray after each decade)
All:  O MY JESUS, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell, lead all souls to Heaven, especially those who have most need of Thy mercy.
Concluding Rosary Prayer
Leader:  O GOD, Whose only begotten Son, by His life, death and resurrection has purchased for us the rewards of eternal life, grant, we beseech Thee, by meditating upon these mysteries of the Most Holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary, that we may imitate what they contain and obtain what they promise, through the same Christ our Lord. Amen.
Hail Holy Queen
All: Hail, Holy Queen, Mother of Mercy, our life, our sweetness and our hope! To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve; to thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears. Turn then, most gracious advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us, and after this our exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus. O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary!
Prayer to St. Michael the Archangel
All: St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle, be our protector against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray, and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God, thrust into hell Satan and the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls. Amen.
Petition a Special Saint
The leader of the Rosary can pick a Saint, or our family would each, in turn, name a Saint, and the rest would say "Pray for us."  For example:

Dad:  St. Matthew the Apostle   Family:  Pray for us.
Mom:  St. Katherine of Siena  Family:  Pray for us.
Jr.:  St. John Vianney  Family:  Pray for us.
etc.
etc.

At the conclusion:
All: In the Name of the Father, and the Son and the Holy Ghost.  Amen.
