Fr Pacwa is Back

Fr. Mitch Pacwa has returned to EWTN after his recent heart attack...

The above is Fr. Pacwa's first live show after recovering,  His guest is Dr. Scott Hahn and they discuss the Apostles Creed.

Prayers for Fr. Pacwa

Fr. Mitch Pacwa, S.J. suffered a heart attack on Saturday, April 16, 2016.  He is responding well to treatment, but keep him in your prayers.

As many of you may know, Fr. Pacwa took over Mother Angelica's "Live" program when she suffered a stroke years ago.

Here's the statement from EWTN regarding Fr. Pacwa:

Statement of Michael P. Warsaw, Chairman & Chief Executive Officer, EWTN Global Catholic Network:
"At about 6:30 p.m. on Saturday evening, April 16, 2016, Fath...er Mitch Pacwa, S.J. suffered a heart attack while here in Birmingham. He has responded well to the angioplasty that was done Saturday night. In typical Fr. Mitch fashion, he commented, 'Apparently Heaven doesn't want me and Hell is afraid I will take over.' We ask our EWTN Family to keep Father Mitch in your prayers as continues his recovery."

Update 4/30/2016:

We pray for Fr. Pacwa's return to health and return to EWTN - as the Lord wills.  Amen.

Mother Angelica - May She Rest in Peace

I recall my early days as a Catholic and when we moved to the Prescott area, no regular TV, however we had a 10 foot satellite dish in the backyard, but no descrambler - one of the few things we could tune in was EWTN.  We spent many hours watching Mother Angelica and other EWTN programming.  She will be remembered with great fondness in my family.

Eternal rest, grant unto her oh Lord.  May her soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, rest in peace.

Amen.

Deacon Bill Steltemeier, May He Rest In Peace

Father Corapi Black Sheep Dog

EWTN Raymond Arroyo interviews National Catholic Register reporter, Joan Frawley Desmond regarding the Fr. Corapi scandal.

One point clarified is that, as Fr. Corapi stated himself, "Once a priest, always a priest."  Fr. Corapi is STILL A PRIEST!  He has NOT left the priesthood!  What he HAS left is serving as a PUBLIC priest.  It is a very complex legal and spiritual web which has been weaved here - and we must be careful not to be caught up in it with improper information and especially with improper motives.

Anyway, here is the video from EWTN...
